The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has this pandemic flu plan
Note: the school will remain open unless required to close by the local authority. As part of the register each day, we intend to record your child's temperature. This will be done via an infra-red forehead thermometer which reads the temperature almost instantly from a short distance away from the skin. These thermometers are widely used in the medical profession and were used during the SARS outbreak in Asia to read the temperatures of passengers passing through the airports there
In the unlikely event of a child being found with fever, we will keep them to one side and request that they are collected by parent or carer. We hope that this will add a further measure of vigilance against swine flu to that already being practised by you
